Jesus Christ is the Son of God, fully God and fully man, who died for the sins of the world and rose again. Because of this, everyone who believes in Him will have eternal life regardless of their belief about origins; one’s belief about origins does not determine their salvation. With regard to origins, we believe that the God of the Bible created everything and, being all-powerful, can and does choose to intervene in His creation even against the laws of nature in what are called miracles. We believe that the creation of the cosmos was one such event and in fact was the event when God created the laws of nature (which did not exist up until that point). We believe that He did so approximately 6,000 years ago in six 24-hour days, through speaking, with the exception of humans whom he molded out of dust, and breathed the breath of life into. We believe that these first humans were Adam and Eve, that they were created sinless and able to not sin, but that they chose to sin, bringing physical and spiritual death into the world. This being said, we believe that all of Genesis is a historical account of real-life events. We also believe that there was no pain, suffering, or death before the fall.
