The Creation Society

Back in spring of 2017, there was a Wheaton College freshman suddenly feeling lost, confused, and a bit shaken in faith as he began questioning if the origins story he had always believed was true. Did God really create the world in six 24-hour days? Or did He create over the span of long periods of time? Or was it through guided evolution over billions of years?  This Wheaton College student decided to do something about it. Even though origins, meaning the method and time frame through which God created the world, is not a salvation issue, it can still be a difficult and confusing subject for many that really impacts their faith and theology. This is why the Creation Society was born. Science and religion often are seen as at odds with one another, however we do not have to discard science in order to believe God’s Word and vice versa. The Creation Society exists to dialogue about Young Earth Creationism, discover what the Bible says about creation, discuss scientific evidence in light of YEC, and seek God's heart in the matter, all while providing a safe place where people can feel comfortable to discuss their beliefs and doubts without ridicule or hostility.
